My final for my college game design class, this is a simple ball game of getting from point A to point B, with point B being a giant white rectangular prism. This is obviously going to be kind of terrible compared to what’s usually posted on the site, but please just focus on the way the game plays, and how you learn how to win each level.
Use the arrow keys or WASD keys to move, Space to restart, and escape to quit. (Escape only quits when you're in fullscreen mode.)
The first level is simple enough, it teaches you how to move around and how to use bounces to get higher.
The second level starts you off low to the ground, so you have to bounce a lot more, when the level exit is not in the same location, it should encourage the player to look higher by bouncing up higher.
The third level's exit is underneath these platforms, it's designed to teach the player how to stop bouncing and slow down, otherwise you risk falling into the hole. They can accomplish this by getting the ball down a narrow hole, and then rolling down.
The fourth level's exit is below the starting platform, it's supposed to get the player to look down, and figure out how to control in midair. The exit is above the lower platform, forcing the player to bounce on the lower platform to try to hit it.
The final level is the hardest one, being a modified level 4, instead of bouncing on the lower platform to get up, you just have to bounce down and land on the lower platform, unfortunately this platform is MUCH smaller than the previous one, so the player has to be very careful with their movement.

Week 11
These are the final two levels of my game, for the fourth level, you have to drop the ball off the top edge and pull back onto the platform beneath it. Then you have to bounce up to the level exit. The final level is like the fourth one, but the bottom platform is tiny, so to compensate you only have to land on the platform, not bounce on it.

Ball game week 10
These are the new level 1 and 2, its to get the player used to bouncing up ledges, the second level has a much higher ledge in order to teach them to bounce on things they've already bounced on. The old level 1 is going to teach them how to stop, and as such it is now level 3.
First ball game level week 9
This is how my first level went, after I had no idea what I was doing... I think it went better than it could have.

Midterm
Here is a walkthrough of my Midterm game
First, you'll notice that you have a slightly different color scheme than the original protagonist. I've changed only a few cosmetic things, like giving the bats fangs, but other than that there isn't much.
Buy everything… EVERYTHING!
Go to the house with broken windows, slimes live here.
I've added a dungeon inside monster houses, like this one. I recommend you equip the bow for this next fight.
This fight is not difficult in the slightest. Just keep your distance and use the bow. You could use the magic wand, but the wand only does one damage while the bow does two. The Sword does 3 damage, but you need to keep your distance.
When the boss is dead open the chest that spawns.
You should find a bronze key, pick it up. You might need to run around to the back of it.
Head to the house with bats in it, this one's windows are fixed because this guy lives with them. Equip the wand for this next fight. TRUST ME on this.
The boss bat, is probably the hardest boss in the game in terms of required combat.
He spawns more bats upon each hit, so spam the want to kill the smaller bats. Even if you're surrounded keep killing them, as the more bats that die, the more likely they are to drop hearts.
Once you're done, open the chest and get the silver key… word to the wise, it might flicker out of existence after the chest opens up, so just walk around to the back and check your inventory.
Finally, go to the house in the corner of the map, the one with no path. There's a bunch of stone monsters here, but if you know what you're doing you can ignore them.
DO NOT WAKE UP THE RED STONE MONSTERS! THEY WILL KILL YOU! Instead, try to make a path on the right side, use the wand to wake them all up, then switch to the sword to kill them without waking their neighbors up.
At the end of the room is a chest with the gold key. This has the same issues the silver one does, but again, just check to see if you picked it up before you leave the room.
Now you can enter the bronze door… well you could enter it before, but you need all three keys to all three doors, so it's better to go after you have them all.
Inside this room is only a sliver door.
Then there is only a gold door in the next room.

Next get some money, I recommend coming to this chest.

The end of the game, the reason you've been fighting all three bosses, is in that chest. Once you open it you might as well quit the game, as it is over and done with. I'm not spoiling what's in the chest, but remember to pay attention.

Idea for Action RPG
I plan to have three bosses and one final boss, which I haven't really thought of yet. You need to beat each boss and then the final boss. Then you would win the game, the first two bosses would be just larger and stronger enemies, but the third boss would be stronger and faster golems mixed with a room full of regular ones. I'm not sure what else to go on from there.
The first key is against a giant blob, not too hard to deal with. You just use the arrows on it and it'll be easily dealt with. The second key is from the giant bat, that spawns bats when hit. The wand is the best choice here. The final key is behind a wall of stone monsters and red stone monsters, you have almost no chance to kill the red stone monsters, so its best to make a path of only regular ones and kill them with the sword.
Once all three keys are obtained, you can enter the final dungeon, which will give you a brand new weapon: a sword that fires magic projectiles that do the same damage as the bow, and pass through objects and enemies like the magic wand's spells. Then you fight the final boss that I haven't really decided the form and fight of.

Action RPG Problems to fix
First of all, the text scrolling speed is really slow and you can't make it faster, if you attempt to it makes the text go away. Also the movement speed is really slow as well. Thirdly game balance is really broken, you can kill the two slimes in the village and take the treasure in the starting house and get the wand right away. The bow doesn't really have a purpose since it's essentially a wand that can get blocked by the environment... Perhaps if I changed it to poison arrows or something. Then I could make the wand shoot through multiple enemies. That way you have all three weapons being useful. That way, the sword could be for enemies that dodge projectiles pretty well, the bow could be for singular boss fights, and the wand could help you deal with multiple enemies. Next we should work on adding armor and different tiers of weapons. That and an objective, bosses, more enemies and more environments, but that's a given. OH! I could add a weapon quick switch as well.
